Now I personally have never stepped foot in the actual “Let’s Dish!” store, but I have several times reaped the bounty of their products and services.
“Let’s Dish!” is a place where you can take simple cooking classes, and make your own food and then freeze for future use. They also upon request will deliver already pre-made items, or they will pre-make in the store upon request, and then you pick up. I have used “Let’s Dish!” a few times in my life. Once a group of us got together and bought a month’s worth of dinners for a family that recently had a death . We were all comfortable knowing the family would get good food, and have very little work to do. I’ve also used it to send dinners to families that have just had a baby. The meals are great and simple to order right online. Fresh prepared foods sent to your door or someone else’s... who could ask for more? Every month the menu changes of things you can make in the store.
At “Let’s Dish!” you can go in by yourself and cook, cook in a group, or even host a private party. This is a great way for all the mom’s to get away from the kids and spending time with friends. Well, at least I find cooking it therapeutic and fun. (*hint hint to the husbands who can’t figure out what to get their wives*) They offer everything from dinners, sides, desserts, brunch items, to even vegetarian options.
We have also had the benefit of receiving “Let’s Dish!” meals ourselves. They're very outstanding and made with quality ingredients. My favorite is the salmon with herb and garlic butter. My husband isn’t even fond of salmon, and had a second helping of it. The salmon came wrapped in tinfoil and frozen. It had a sticker label on it, explaining what it was, all the ingredients, cooking instructions and nutritional information. I was highly tempted to not follow the instructions, and throw it on the grill with some lemon wedges and onions, but I decided to try the instructions. They suggested cooking the salmon in the oven, over tinfoil, in a baking pan, and not to add anything to it. It was heavenly, the flavored butter just marinated itself all over the salmon, and came out perfect. Rich, flavorful, and flaky, just how good salmon should be.
I would think, that this would be a great place for a family that doesn’t have a lot of time to go grocery shopping and create a home cooked meal. Or for someone who wants to learn how to cook. This also seems like a great place to take the kids, and get them involved. I think the earlier they learn to cook, the better they get with practice and years. Just think, start teaching your children (boys & girls) to cook when their younger, and when they hit those teenage years, they can make you dinner. Now how nice would that be?
