Do you remember when you were a kid, and your parents ALWAYS made you eat your dinner first? And you would always ask, "Why can't I have dessert first?". We all would get that general response of that they are the adults, and your the child, and since they are in charge, they choose what you eat first. And what does every kid say to that statement? "Well when I grow up, and I'm an adult, I'm gonna eat my dessert first!"
Of course we all grow up, and out of the "I want dessert first phase"..........unless you are my husband Nathan.
"Brinner" (breakfast for dinner), is an all time favorite meal of Nathan's. There is nothing better than bacon for dinner in his eyes. So of course about once a week, we have "Brinner". Well last "Brinner" was waffles, of course I also cooked the bacon, but the Ice-Cream.... that was Nathan's touch. (I did not have ice-cream on my waffles.)
If you have a waffle iron, than I have an easy quick recipe for you. So now you can make your kids, or "big" kids "Brinner" too.
Ingredients
2 cups flour
3 Tsp baking powder
2 Tb sugar
Pinch of salt
2 Eggs
1 1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup melted butter
1 Tb vanilla
Instructions
Combine all ingredients till wet and dry are evenly combined. Pour batter onto pre-heated and sprayed waffle iron. Follow specific cooking instructions for your waffle iron until waffles are ready. Waffles can be served with optional butter, warm syrup, eggs, bacon, and of course vanilla ice-cream.
Enjoy!

I'm with your husband - breakfast at any meal! Eggs and bacon rule!
This is the first time I have seen the same plates I own in a blog...and I wish I could be served those waffles on them, and in bed! lol
